| Profiles Sue ( Salsa...feel the heat ) Sue first got into the Salsa groove about 19 years ago and went on to teach with Andre & Chariffi at Manchester's Copacabana Nightclub. Sue is a qualified UKA Salsa Dance Instructor who runs her own classes in the Warrington and Wigan areas where she hosts regular Salsa Party Nights and delivers workshops for students, organisations and schools. DJ Hot Pepper Hot Pepper is Salsa...feel the heat's resident DJ as well as being one of the North West's best World Music / Salsa DJ's and is a regular DJ / Compere at many of Manchester's major Festivals and recently showcased his DJing skills at Pontins Salsa Max 3 event. Hot Pepper hosts regular African & Caribbean nights in Manchester and has hosted his own radio show Tropical Hits on several radio shows over the past 5 years. Rohan Brown Rohan is an established instructor based in the Midlands who places particular emphasis on ensuring that his students have a great time whilst learning to dance. His classes focus mainly on style and natural body movement, with teaching influences that include Cuban & New York Salsa. Rohan regularly hosts Salsa Nights, Weekenders and Congresses as well as finding the time to run his " One stop Salsa Shop Salsa Fever " and organising Salsa Dance holidays. A great time is guaranteed when Rohan is around. Leandro Charanga The " Reggaeton King " was born in Cuba and is one of the most charismatic performers around today. Leandro's style is unique and wldly entertaining. His fusion of raw energy from the backstreets of Havana is edgy and athletic and at the same time graceful and fun. Rafael Del Busto Born in Havana, Rafael is widely regarded as the very best proponent of authentic Cuban Salsa, Mambo and Rumba dance styles. Winner of the best Male Cuban Salsa Performer Award and twice World Open Salsa Champion. Came to the UK to star in the West End Show Lady Salsa. Juan Carlos Pacheco Juan Carlos is a Professional Dancer and Choreographer from Cuba who studied all forms of traditional dance for 20 years. Juan Carlos has also performed with the World Famous Buena Vista Social Club and Los Van Van and is one of the greatest masters of traditional Cuban Dance forms such as Cha Cha, Son and Mambo. Idalberto Alcala Idalberto is an International Master of Cuban Dance and his artistic talent and unique qualities were recognised at an early age and is internationally aclaimed as a Dancer, Teacher, Choreographer and Musician. Today he is known as one of the most popular teachers with the UK and performs both nationally and internationally. Yersin Guillen Rivas Yersin, born in Cienfuegos Cuba, started dancing at an early age. For the past 8 years, Yersin has been teaching Salsa, Afro Cuban & Cha Cha Cha in the UK. As well as his passion for dance, Yersin also DJ's and is part of UK Team Cuba. Yersin is an energetic person who brings excitement and joy through his dance. Yescica Livesey Trained in a wide variety of dance disciplines, Yescica was born in Cuba and studied Cuban Popular and Folkloric Dance forms. In Cuba, Yescica was the leading dancer in one of the most famous Dance Groups Danza Libre where she performed throughout Europe. Yescica has beautiful body movement and styling with a love of dance that she shares with her students with passion and flavour. Natalie Ward Natalie has a history of Street Dance and Hip Hop having starred in music Videos. Natalie turned her focus to the Latin scene and hasn't looked back since. Natalie is known as La Chica Del Regaeton and has guest taught for many dance organisations Sarah Alcala Sarah is a professionally trained Cuban dancer and performer having been trained by one the worlds elite professional Cuban Dance Instructors in Mambo, Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha, Son, Danzon & Cuban Body movement. Sarah teaches alongside Idalberto focusing on technique and ladies styling. Noel Hernandez & Yescica Livesey Noel Hernandez , official UK Professional Cuban Salsa Champion 2010 will be performing an amazing show with his partner Yescica Livesey ( see profile above ) Ulises Carrillo Ulises is one of the brightest, youngest and most talented up and coming Cuban Salsa stars on the UK Salsa scene. Ulises is equally at home teaching Salsa, La Rueda or Rumba. DJ Flecha Flecha has been DJing for many years and has had an amazing DJ career. He has played with famous Cuban Bands such as Los Van Van, Charanga Habanera, Adalberto Alvarez, Paulo F.G. , Manolito Y Su Trabuco, Pupi Y Los Que Son Son & Maikel Blanco Y Su Salsa Mayor. His passion is making people dance and inspiring them with fantastic Cuban energy. DJ Flecha is known for keeping the dancefloor buzzing and is part of UK Team Cuba. DJ Yersin Yersin is one of the top Cuban DJ's in the UK performing at many of the Cuban Salsa Congresses and Festivals and also at the Ministry of Sound ( La Bomba Cuban special in London ). Yersin is a member of UK Team Cuba and loves to keep the crowd dancing non stop to the hottest tracks. DJ Javier La Rosa DJ Javier a winner of the most popular Cuban DJ award is one of the most exciting latin DJ's on the scene today. Javier came from Havana Cuba and has been DJing since his arrival in 2004, playing Salsa, Timba Cubana, Reggaeton, Latin Hip Hop and RnB to suit any occassion. |
